October Twenty-Ten

The first lines of code were written today, its not much, but still feels like a milestone, a first step towards something. I hadn't planned to work on the simulation before 2011, but after spending the past year of uni (in the final weeks now) I thought it would be best to actually make something with what Ive learnt.

A few fellow students have bumped me in the direction of something called 'Processor', a java based 'tool' used for many different things. Ive seen a few pretty impressive physics based particle systems made using this system, so perhaps its a good place to start. I plan to convert any java based program to C (C++?) at some stage either way, so no one should fret about me using sluggish Java currently (its just what my course is based in at the moment, so why not practice eh?)

A final note, dont Universitys just seem like a place of learning and opportunity? People do some powerful stuff in this place.
Anyway its 10:36pm right now, I should probubly stop running around like a mad-man with my phone camera trying to take pictures of myself, and get going.
